The Länsi-Uusimaa Rescue Department
The Länsi-Uusimaa Rescue Department is responsible for the safety of citizens, businesses and communities in ten municipalities. Its tasks include accident prevention, rescue operations, emergency medical services and improving the preparedness of the municipalities and their residents in case of emergencies.

Using the Emergency Number Correctly
The 112 day is observed every year on 11 February. The purpose of this day is to heighten public awareness about safety-related issues. This year’s focus was on the correct use of the emergency number, with a particular emphasis on educating children and young people.

The Uusimaa Rescue Departments urge users of fireworks to pay special attention to local weather conditions and safe fireworks use. Up-to-date warnings can be checked on the Finnish Meteorological Institute's website.
Escape room inspections only revealed minor shortcomings
