Rescue authorities found shortcomings in the fire safety and provision of safe egress in shops
Uusimaa rescue departments conducted control visits at various shops between November 22 and December 1, 2021. This was the second time control was implemented in cooperation between the Uusimaa rescue departments. In total, the control visits covered 197 shops around Uusimaa. Rescue authorities focused particularly on the fire safety and provision of safe egress.
Rescue departments inspect shops in Uusimaa
Rescue departments in the Uusimaa region will carry out inspection visits to commercial premises in their areas during the holiday shopping season. In particular, the inspections will focus on the safety of exit routes in shops and stores.
Residents interested in the safety of their detached houses in Western Uusimaa
Last summer, the Western Uusimaa Rescue Department sent a fire safety self-assessment form to some of the residents of detached houses in its area. This year, the letter was sent to approximately 5,200 households.
