Mikko Jalo appointed as Special Adviser to Minister of the Interior Mikkonen

Mikko Jalo has taken up his duties as Special Adviser to Minister of the Interior Krista Mikkonen. Jalo is responsible for the Minister’s communications and media relations as well as matters related to rescue services.

Jalo has previously worked as Political Adviser to Minister Mikkonen at Parliament. He holds a Master of Science degree.

In addition to Mikko Jalo, Tiina Kivinen, who is responsible for matters related to EU affairs, migration, asylum policy and intelligence, and Jukka Vornanen, who is responsible for matters related to the police and border security, will continue as Special Advisers to the Minister of the Interior. Akseli Koskela will continue as State Secretary.

Heikki Sairanen, Special Adviser responsible for economic policy matters, has transferred to the advisory staff of Minister of the Environment and Climate change Maria Ohisalo.
