Welcome to our family-friendly open house event at Espoonlahti, Matinkylä, Mikkelä and Leppävaara Fire Stations, as well as the Central Fire Station, on Friday 28 August from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Come and get to know us! Learn more about our operations and daily work.
Meet firefighters, safety educators, fire inspectors, paramedics and other professionals. Take a closer look at the equipment carried in an ambulance and a fire engine. At the Central Fire Station, oil spill response equipment will also be on display.
Please note: Fire engines, ambulances and their crews may be called away on emergency duties during the event. Other professionals will be available throughout the event.
You will also receive practical tips on improving fire safety at home. We are happy to answer questions about emergency preparedness and self-preparedness.
Children can try extinguishing a fire using a traditional hand-operated water pump.
The events will primarily take place outdoors in the fire station yards. In case of rain, activities will be moved to the vehicle hall.
